A set of evolved capsids for retinal gene therapy via intravitreal injection are described in this article published in Molecular Therapy. They exhibit superior transduction efficiency, as well as immune evasion for one variant. Damien Marsic, Maibo Biotech’s CSO, co-first author of the article, designed and constructed the original capsid library, generated the enriched libraries during selection, performed data analysis and identified the novel variants.
